Participation & Assumption of Risk

Participation in Baked by Jul Cookie Decorating Camps involves hands-on activities including handling food products, icing, sprinkles, decorating tools, and craft materials.

By registering for camp, parents/guardians acknowledge that participation in these activities carries inherent risks, including but not limited to minor injuries, allergic reactions, or other unforeseen incidents.

Parents/guardians voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the camp and agree that their child participates at their own risk.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parent or legal guardian agrees to release, waive, and hold harmless Baked by Jul, its owner, employees, assistants, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in Baked by Jul Cookie Decorating Camps.

This release includes, but is not limited to, claims related to:

• personal injury
• illness
• allergic reactions
• property damage
• accidents occurring during camp activities or while on the premises

Food Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

Cookies used during camp contain common allergens including:

• wheat
• dairy
• eggs

Our kitchen may also process ingredients that contain nuts and other allergens.

While we maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, Baked by Jul cannot guarantee an allergen-free facility.

Parents/guardians are responsible for informing Baked by Jul of any food allergies during registration. By registering, parents acknowledge and accept the risks associated with food allergies and participation in food-related activities.

Safety

For safety reasons, campers will not use ovens, mixers, knives, or hot kitchen equipment during camp.

All cookies used for decorating are prepared in advance by Baked by Jul.

Camp activities focus on cookie decorating and bakery-themed crafts.

Parents/guardians acknowledge that minor accidents such as spills, slips, or minor cuts may occur during normal activities.

Medical Responsibility

Parents/guardians confirm that their child is in suitable health to participate in camp activities.

Baked by Jul does not provide medical personnel on site.

In the event of a medical emergency, Baked by Jul may contact emergency services and/or the parent or emergency contact provided during registration.

Parents/guardians are responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Behavior Expectations

Campers are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, other campers, and the camp space.

Baked by Jul reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose behavior is disruptive or unsafe. In such cases, parents may be contacted for early pickup.

No refunds will be issued for dismissal due to behavioral issues.

Drop-Off & Pickup

Cookie Decorating Camp is a drop-off program.

Parents/guardians must ensure their child is picked up promptly at the end of the scheduled camp session.

Baked by Jul is not responsible for supervision outside of scheduled camp hours.

Photography & Media

Photos and videos may be taken during camp for promotional purposes, including use on Baked by Jul’s website, social media, or marketing materials.

Parents/guardians may opt out of photography during registration.

Registration & Refund Policy

Due to limited camp capacity, camp registrations are non-refundable.

If a camper cannot attend, registration may be transferred to another child within the same age range with advance notice.

Minimum Enrollment

Camp sessions require a minimum number of participants to run.

If minimum enrollment is not reached, Baked by Jul reserves the right to cancel the camp session and will provide either:

• a full refund
• or the option to transfer to another camp session

Agreement

By registering a child for Baked by Jul Cookie Decorating Camp, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read and agreed to these policies and accept the terms of participation.
